New to the game? You're in the right place.
Basic Rules
- Games are typically played to 11, win by 2.
- Only the serving team can score points.
- Serve underhand, diagonally cross‑court.
- Let the ball bounce once on each side before volleys (the "two‑bounce rule").
When Courts Are Busy
Once there are 4 or more paddles waiting in the rack, the following rules kick in so everyone gets a fair chance to play:
- Short games: Play to 8 (win by 2) instead of the standard 11.
- Three‑win rotation: After winning 3 games, rotate off so others can jump in.
Court Etiquette
- Call the score loudly before each serve.
- Be kind to new players and help them learn.
- Rotate off courts to let others play when it's busy.
- Respect nearby courts and keep language family‑friendly.
